With support and encouragement from her mother, Kena decides to show her classmates how she and her fellow students are strengthened and made more powerful by their challenges. Inspired by the author’s granddaughter, this story radiates positivity and highlights the resilient and wise nature of children. Beautiful and colorful illustrations accompany this heartfelt story. A fun activity involving sign language is also included for readers.

Super Kena shares the heartwarming story of a young girl who thrives when presented with life’s challenges. Kena is comfortable and confident in wearing her hearing aids and although she could have easily reacted with anger to her classmate’s bullying, she chooses a positive and constructive way to deal with this issue. Kena realizes that many of her fellow students are differently abled. Some may wear glasses or use a wheelchair or need an inhaler for asthma, yet each of them is strong and bravely carries on each day.
